Doctor Doctor I see spots
(Name) may have chicken pox
Some spots are red, some are blue
this pox I fear is something new
Oh, look at all my horrid spots
I think I've got the chicken pox
They're on my arms and on my nose
They're even in between my toes
They're on my chest and in my hair
These chicken pox are everywhere
They're on my feet and elbows too.
I don't know what I'm going to do
Twelve new spots appeared today
I wish that they would go away
So I could go outside and play
He'll never learn to whisper and his face will not be clean. You'll tie his shoes a thousand times and patch up all his jeans. He'll never walk when he can run and he'll climb up all the trees. Before he's ten you'll have kissed a hundred skinned up knees. He'll throw the ball inside the house never in the yard. He'll break you priceless treasures and leave you junk unmarred. You'll wonder in your secret times if this is all there is, just peanut butter n' jelly and one goodnight kiss. But when he is sick, you will sit beside his bed the whole night through and pray that God grants you one more day for him to spend with you.
You don't raise heros you raise sons and if you treat them like sons they'll turn out to be heros, even if it's just in your eyes.
